Miranda Sykes & Jim Causley

Miranda Sykes and Jim Causley, live acoustic session in the restaurant at Bloomsburys.

This is a rare chance to see two of the UK’s most iconic voices in our beautiful and intimate setting.

Having finally combined as a duo and as part of the tour of their new album “the last of the Singers” we are privileged to welcome Miranda Sykes and Jim Causley here in the restaurant at Bloomsburys .

Having known each other for nearly 20 years and in 2024 they united with John Palmer to create and tour a show celebrating the centenary of the death of the song collector and author Sabine Baring – Gould. They enjoyed working together so much and audience feedback was so positive that they made plans to record and tour an album together.

“The Last Of The Singers” is a collection of traditional, self penned and contemporary songs bringing their magical voices together.

Miranda Sykes is a multi-talented singer, double bass and guitar player who easily slips between genres as diverse as folk, jazz, rock and pop. Her rich, spine-tingling vocals and strident, yet sensitive double bass playing is much in demand and she has worked alongside some of the finest musicians in the world.

Jim Causley is a British folk singer, songwriter, and musician from Devon who specializes in the traditional songs and music of the West Country. Journalist Colin Irwin has called him “the finest singer of his generation”.

Call or email us or follow the link for more info and tickets.  Places are limited and will be sold on a strictly first come first served basis so book early to avoid disappointment. If you don’t already know about these fabulously talented artists you are in for a stupendous musical treat. This is not one to be missed!
