Formerly the bar terrace of ther restaurant, this space has now been dedicated to the arts and crafts in line with our ethos of inspiring and demonstrating local, national and international talent.
This space is also ideal for a private events and parties for between 25 – 60 guests that can be seated inside. In combination with the stunning outside terraced patio there is the ability for considerably more space (weather permitting!)
We are delighted to host a variety of events and classes at the Cactus room as a hub of creativity, demonstrating the best of local arts and crafts.
From music to art classes, creative workshops to crochet classes, the space is adaptable and suited to a wide variety of uses.
We’re passionate about the environment, up-cycling, and repurposing almost every item you’ll sit on or see. From poems written for us to sentimental memorabilia woven into the fabric of our space, our interior is a living, breathing entity, brought to life by you, our lovely customers.
Our seating is designed to provide a spacious, relaxed, yet intimate experience. Choose a light and airy table on the bar terrace or a more intimate setting in the live lounge. Each area is crafted to embrace every mood, with club and smoking armchairs, coffee tables by the fire, and a relaxing vibe throughout.

On those hot, sun-soaked days, our outside garden terrace is the perfect choice. The bar terrace doors fold open to bring the garden inside, creating a seamless blend of the indoors and outdoors. Enjoy relaxing and creating in our sun trap terrace, often well into the autumn, as you soak in the inspirational views and strolls among mature flower beds, herbal wonders, and architectural specimens.
In addition to the regular creative events happening in the cactis room, you can hire the space for your own events or workshops. We love to host local artisans and anyone who needs a space to express their creativity or wants to host their special event in this beautiful space.
