If you have never stayed in a Yurt then you are in for a treat. No need for sleeping bags and roll mats here. Each Yurt has fully made up beds with fresh, beautiful bedding to give you the perfect nights sleep. We think it’s the best night under canvas you will find.
Our Yurts can sleep up to eight people in blissful comfort and come equipped with heating and solid wooden floors. No matter what the season or weather, you will have the perfect, relaxing stay that only these ancient structures can offer.
Your Home
Whilst normally associated with nomadic Mongolian warriors, the term Yurt is actually of Turkish origin, and literally translates as ‘Imprint In The Ground.’
The Mongolian name for these ancient dwellings is Ger – which means ‘Home.’
Each structure is centred around the crown or shangyrak. Legend has it that the shangyrak would be passed on from father to son as an inheritance. It was said that tribes knew how old the family line was by the smoke stains on the shangyrak. All of our Yurts are hand made in the UK and the interiors are designed by our in-house designer. Expect french dressing tables, bedside lights and the tiny details that will make you feel instantly at home.
Stories round the fire
For centuries we have gathered around the fire to share food, celebrate and tell stories in the open air. Our fire pits not only provide warmth on a cool evening, but they also give you a space to spend your time with your friends, loved ones, or even other guests on the site to share stories and create new ones.
